Taylor Gas, Heating, & Air cares about the communities in which we serve. We wish to support charitable organizations, events and sponsorships, as funds are available, that benefit our community and the people that live within it.
We are calling on our customers to vote for an organization that is important to them. During this season of giving, we are featuring Catholic Charities Southern Maryland Food Bank, Christmas in April St. Mary's, and Hospice of St. Mary’s.
Each of these nonprofits does amazing work in our communities', so please take a moment to read through their missions below and visit their website to learn more or donate directly. The organization with the most votes at the end of the active voting period will receive $2,000. Second place will receive $1,000, and third will receive $500. Catholic Charities Southern Maryland Food Bank
The food bank supplies emergency food to 35 food pantries in the region. In response to increasing food insecurity, the Southern Maryland Food Bank also manages a local food pantry, a food truck, a community garden and Snack Sak programs at area schools for at-risk children and senior living centers for senior citizens.
Christmas in April St. Mary's County
Christmas in April St. Mary's County, Maryland, Inc. in partnership with the community, rehabilitates the homes of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may live in warmth, safety, and independence. We also provide help through work on community projects in St. Mary's County.
MedStar Health: Hospice of St. Mary’s
Hospice of St. Mary's is a not-for-profit service that provides physical, psychological, spiritual care, and comfort to those who are terminally ill and to their families. Hospice also offers grief support to families and community members who have experienced a loss.
Founded in 1981, Hospice of St. Mary's was started by a group of community volunteers under the direction of Dr. Patrick Jarboe. After several decades, we continue to provide high quality and compassionate end-of-life care for our patients and their families.
